Unlocking the Archives

Long before Rune-Midgard stood as it does today, Babylon was a beacon of power, wealth, and forbidden knowledge. Its rulers believed they could tear open a Rift to the divine realm and steal the power of the gods themselves.
Instead, they opened a door to something far worse. The Nexus, a realm where reality fractures, poured into Babylon. Devil Square and countless twisted Instances followed β echoes of battles that never shouldβve happened.
To contain this disaster, the gods sealed Babylon in a time loop, cutting it off from the world. Its gates have remained shut ever since... until now.
Guard Aselus stands at the entrance, a loyal follower of the gods. Talk to him to hear the full story of Babylonβs fall. After this history lesson, the quest begins.
Nimea wonβt help until youβve heard Aselusβ story. Once you do, Nimea confesses his obsession with Babylonβs secrets. He believes a hidden entrance exists β but to find it, youβll need ancient construction records stored in the home of a certain unhinged architect.
Kashtu is completely insane β paranoid, muttering to himself, and convinced his house is alive. He lost his blueprint book somewhere inside. Search the Dusty Shelf (clangroup 289,89) to find it. Return the book and Kashtu will hand over the records for Nimea.
Nimeaβs thrilled β but thereβs a problem. Aselus is too loyal to the gods and will report anyone sneaking into Babylon. The solution? Knock him out cold.
Gunter has Storm Ox Brew, strong enough to drop a knight. But youβll need to clean up 10 piles of dung before he hands over a bottle. Look for:
Animal Dung - Nearby piles on the farm.
Once you collect all 10 piles, Gunterβs son delivers the brew directly to Aselus. The guard falls asleep at his post.
With Aselus out of the way, Nimea reads Kashtuβs records and finds a final problem β the inner gate is sealed by divine energy. To bypass it, youβll need an Essence Flask, a rare item from the Rebirth System (or from a player shop).
Bring the Essence Flask to Nimea. He performs a forbidden Babylonian ritual, binding your soul to the portal itself. From now on, you can pass through the gate unseen.
With the ritual complete, the Babylon Warp is permanently unlocked. From now on, you can enter the Archives anytime for 1 Gold Coin.
Bonus Tip: You only need the Essence Flask once per character. After unlocking the Archives, you can enter anytime through the Babylon Warp β or by completing the internal quest inside Babylon, which adds the warp directly to the Warper NPC.
